Living in Northwich, I couldn’t wait to photograph Donna & Mark’s Abbeywood Estate Wedding. This really is one of the best wedding venues in the country and I am so lucky to have this stunning place right on my doorstep.
Beautiful Church Ceremony
Donna and Mark chose to have their wedding ceremony in Donna’s home town of Nantwich, and churches don’t come more spectacular than St Mary’s. Set in the heart of the town the bridal party were met by crowds of locals all wishing them both well. It was a lovely ceremony and afterwards they were both invited to the front to pray in front of the huge stained glass window, the outside light flooding in, it really was a pleasure to photograph.
Typical Northwest Weather
The typical Northwest weather struck immediately after the ceremony and the heavens opened. That didn’t phase Donna and Mark who took it in their stride. It’s a question I get asked a lot, “What if it rains on my wedding day” and my answer is always the same, grab a Brolley and enjoy it. The rain didn’t hold out for long, and by the time we made the short journey over to Abbeywood Estate the clouds had parted and the sun came out.
Natural Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photography
Abbeywood Estate is situated just on the edge of Delamere Forest and has the most amazing gardens. I was lucky enough to take Donna & Mark for some very relaxed photographs of just the 2 of them, nothing posed, just 10 – 15 minutes to themselves on their wedding day. The afternoon consisted of some fantastic speeches and then my favourite…. ceilidh dancing. I have shot a few ceilidh’s before and they are absolutely brilliant, the dance floor is always heaving and everyone has a great time.
It was an absolute pleasure to be Donna & Mark’s Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photographer. Here are just a few of my favourites from their day.
