I was first asked to be Emma & Michael’s Hale Barns wedding photographer about 4 weeks before they were actually due to get married. This was without a doubt the closest I have been booked before a wedding, but when Emma was telling about her wedding I knew it was going to be perfect.
Emma & Michael wanted a very intimate wedding, celebrating with only their closest family and friends. There were 22 guests in total including Emma and Michael and this made for a lovely atmosphere, everyone knew everyone and it was clear how close they were to each and everyone of their guests.
The ceremony took place at sale town hall which is stunning brownstone building in the heart of Sale. After the ceremony I took Emma and Michael for a quick walk down the canal to get some images of just the 2 of them, completely natural and un-posed.
The Heart Of Cheshire
After the ceremony we made the short trip to Hale Barns, where Emma and Michael had a reception at the recently renovated Bulls Head. Deciding to have a completely informal reception Emma & Michael decided against having any speeches, cake cutting or first dance, which meant that everyone was completely relaxed throughout the day.
Being a Hale Barns wedding photographer I just had to sneak Emma and Michael out for a very quick couples shoot in the nearby park. Autumn had really set in and the trees had turned that lovely orange colour they do at this time of year. I loved the contrast between this setting and the earlier one in Sale Town centre, still 100% natural and un-posed just the way Emma & Michael wanted.
Here is a small selection of images from the day
